Family and Children's Services has developed relationships with many community agencies in order to be part of a comprehensive range of available services. We actively participate in coordinating and streamlining programs for social services agencies so that we can develop as an organization and so that we can meet the needs of the community.

We are a United Way partner agency and we are members of the Alliance for Children and Families, Inc. We are certified by the Department of Mental Health through the Family and Social Service Administration of Indiana and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Partners include the Division of Family and Children, the Adult Probation Department, Criminal Division Services, SCAN, Community Corrections, the Allen County Prosecutor's Office, Park Center, schools and courts. These partners refer clients to our agency because of our acknowledged expertise in counseling with individuals and families.

For more than 80 years, United Way has brought people and resources together to meet the changing needs of Allen County residents. Today, UWAC meets identified local challenges through community partnerships that: maximize the ability to improve life for neighbors, incorporate different perspectives to solve community problems, and articulate a local human services agenda based on recognized needs.

CARF is an independent, not-for-profit accrediting body. CARF provides accreditation in the human services field -- focusing on the areas of rehabilitation, employment, child and family, and aging services.
